Position Related:

This person will be responsible for opex control activities including preparation of periodic forecasts and long term business plans, driving the OE program, evaluation of investment proposals, post-evaluation of approved investment cases & coordination of the Investment Committee Meetings.

Your typical day at work:Preparation of period forecasts and long term busiess plan for technology opex
Providing Insightful, dynamic & conclusive analysis including comparing the actual opex perfromance against the forecast and opex targets
Resposible for annual GCB exercise in Technology Division (Ensure timely and accruate provision of inputs, perform deatiled analysis on the report and drive actions from the Benchmarking results)
Drive OE in the Technology division (Identification of new OE initiatives, follow up of the current OE initiatives to track the actual performance aginst target)
Evaluation of investment proposals with respect to completeness/ quality of the underlying drivers/ assumptions
Perform quality control procedures on the post evaluation of the investment cases presented to Investment Committee
Understand/ apply the overall principles of capex governance which includes understanding of investment policy and the related authority matrix
Coordinate with External & Internal auditors for annual control certifications pertaining to capex approval vs. commitment
Providing ad-hoc support to different stakeholders on performing financial evaluation of different proposals as per management's request
Preparation of high qualty and accurate finnacial reports
Functional Skills/Knowledge Areas: - Sound knowledge of Finance and Accounting
Solid understanding of the revenue and cost drivers specific to the telecommunication industry
Excellent report writing skills and experience in financial analysis
Ability to create/edit and evaluate detailed financial models
Excellent computer skills - mastering of all Microsoft office programs (particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint); Oracle Financial system a plus; experience working with Hyperion highly preferred
Excellent analytical skills including skilled in business case evaluations including the evaluation techniques i.e. NPV, payback period & IRR calculations
