Roles and Responsibilities 1. Provide Civil Engineering support for all projects executed by ETE Department
2. Ensure design optimization and the application of correct Codes and Standards in the developmental of projects
3. Work as a member of a multidisciplinary team and coordinate! interact with company project
management team, site personnel, external consultants and ensures successful execution of project.
Conduct Feasibility Studies and in-house engineering design for small and medium size green and brown filed projects.
Provide support to multi-discipline engineering team during Conceptual Studies, Conceptual I
Basic Design and during other Engineering phases of projects.
Develop Business Cases, Execution Strategies and Statement of Requirements for various projects with onshore civil and structural content.
Develop Scope of work for Engineering Consultants for all onshore Civil & Structural works I
projects.
Prepare Material MTOs for onshore Civil & Structural items as required.
Conducts technical evaluation for selection of engineering consultants and participate in technical review for pre-qualification of vendorsloontractors and review of bidder's lists.
Review bD documents for engineering services including quoted man-hours, prepare technical queries, provide bid clarifications and ensure that bidders comply with company requirements; participate In the technical evaluation of tenders and issuance of recommendation.
Review the design works and studies performed by the Engineer~ Consultants and ensure that they are in accordance with the technical requirements and meeting the schedule B. Review and approve drawings, specifications and technical documents for all onshore civil & structural design related work.
9. Monitor the performance of the engineering contactable consultants, provide necessary design inputs and follow up during the execution of engineering.
10. Participate in site surveys of facilities to establish and identify the actual requirements.
11. Ensure that state-of-the-art technology is applied through out the engineering phase for cost
effective solutions and application of value added engineering throughout the assigned works.
12. Participate in HSE related design reviews and audits.
13. Maintain client's standards and specifications by developing new technical specifications and
updating existing ones.
14. Provide input prepare/update Engineering procedures, design philosophies and guidelines.
15. Impart training to UAE nationals to meet their Integration targets.
16. Provide sound quality and expert solutions to problems presented by business unit or support
team and coordination with other OPCOs as required.
Skill set 1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a reputed international university.
2. Minimum 12 years of experience in the Oil and Gas Industry and or Engineering Consultancy.
3. Ability to work in a multi discipline engineering team in conducting conceptual studies, FEED and
Detailed Engineering.
4. Experience in structural analyses. design and checking of related structural drawings of onshore concrete and steel structures, foundations and blast resistant buildings. Must have experience in assessment and rehabilitation of existing structures e.g. defective concrete structures. corroded/damaged Steel Structures etc. Skilled in designing of supports and foundations for static and dynamic equipment and pipelines. Experience in design of roads, bund walls, retaining walls, liquid retaining structures, pits, trenches, drainage. Good understanding of earthworks, soil classification, backfilling and compaction, dewatering, protection of buried structures and foundations, quality control and testing requirements, waterproofing, fire protect Ion,5011 bearing capacity, geotechnical investigation and requirements.
5. Ability to prepare Design Basis, philosophies and specifications related to onshore structures and civil designs.
6. Excellent knowledge and skills With relevant international codes and standards related to the Oil and Gas Industry .
7. Computer literacy and Proficiency in structural engineering softwares such as STAADPRO is
mandatory.
8. Very good knowledge of English;Good communication and interpersonal skills
