Job description
Site Manager to assist with the delivery of HV and EHV substation projects at voltages levels from 132kV to 380kVThe Site Manager will be responsible for assisting with overseeing and coordinating delivery of projects across their life cycle.
This will involve managing the technical side and monitoring commercial aspects of the projects to make sure they are completed within budget.
Manages and coordinates all on-site activities for compliance with schedule
Implements the Project Construction Execution Plan.
Directs staff in the daily, weekly planning process.
Supervises and mentors all superintendents; monitors their activities and provides leadership.
Takes actions necessary to meet project budget and schedule requirements.
Assists Project Manager with client interface and relations.
Providing the timely tracking information to Project Controls to support the change management system.
Adheres to Safety, Quality, Ethical Standards, Lessons Learned, and Performance Management programs in accordance with Division Policies, Standards, Guides, and Contractual commitments.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Electrical Engineering degree ; candidates with a strong proven track record will be considered- 8+ years applicable experience with large scale Power projects 132 kv 380 kv substations, including project management and execution, engineering and design, construction.
- Experience in coordinating multi-disciplinary activities and a proven ability to work across departments and workgroups
- Experience negotiating, managing, and implementing EPC Contracts.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Proven analytical and quality improvement ability
Ability to make formal presentations to all audiences
Able to work with all levels of maintenance, engineering, and management
Erection experience is a must
