We are currently seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for our Allentown, PA pharmacy. The Warehouse Supervisor will have the general responsibility for supervising and coordinating all aspects of the daily operation of the warehouse in a manner consistent with company goals and objectives. This includes assistance with employee relation matters, assuring employees understand FDA/GMP guidelines, company and departmental policies and procedures, safety regulations, quality assurance guidelines and distribution of CAPS’ products.
1. Supervise & coordinate unloading, stacking & staging of inbound freight, verifying of quantities, paperwork, & condition of materials.
2. Storage – Ensure optimal utilization of space, through warehouse consolidation. Rotate stock as needed to ensure FIFO.
3. Picking – Ensure accuracy and efficiency of picking process.
4. Scheduling – Establish work schedules. Ensure that schedules are correctly implemented and that jobs are assigned effectively & completed properly.
5. Labor Management – Direct the operations of the warehouse work team to achieve prescribed objectives. Develop & maintain a productive work team through training & development. Apply sound communication & motivational techniques in supervising, counseling & disciplining subordinates. Provide input into the performance evaluation system for recommending wage increases, promotions, & terminations.
6. Communications – participate in meetings. Interact effectively with all levels of management & employees. Act as liaison between employees & management
Inventory – Assure the accuracy & security of the inventory. Assist in conducting physical inventories when required.
7. Records – Complete all necessary records in a timely & accurate manner.
8. Quality – Ensure all materials are stored & handled in accordance with FDA regulations & ISO standards.
9. Equipment – Ensure the safe & efficient operation of all material handling equipment.
10. Safety, Sanitation, Security – Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety, and in accordance with OSHA and MSDS standards.
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent, three to five years related Warehouse/Supervisory experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
