Duties & Accountabilities
FLM Support and troubleshooting of customer equipment to include but not limited to:Installation and commissioning of small works projects in the UK
Attend customers premises to install and train on Onenet system
Configuration and test of wireless access points
DC rectifier installation and test
To perform risk assessments on site
Testing and troubleshooting CAT5 structured cabling
Customer circuit provisioning and end to end testing
Revise and update technical documentation including producing timely reports for all scheduled site visits
Maintain on site records
Maintain cleanliness of all sites and report defects/problems
Working under the control of the Magdalene Network Operations Centre (NOC) engineer
Requirements / Competencies
Good working knowledge of current Telecoms systems
A Customer Support Engineer will possess a sound technical knowledge of several technologies and products
A strong set of IT skills which would include Microsoft products, basic DOS commands, VT software
Ability to work and understand new equipment
Analytical skills to assist in fault resolution
Ability to install and pre-configure telecoms equipment
Competent in the use of power tools, ladders and hand tools
Rigging experience an advantage
