Job Description: Clinical expert who focuses on the needs and concerns of the breastfeeding mother and infant(s). Advocates for the breastfeeding family in preventing, recognizing, and resolving breastfeeding difficulties while promoting improved breastfeeding outcomes. Participates in the coordination of the provision of community lactation follow-up via out patient consults; and/or home health and DME services; community resources.
Minimum Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current BCLS. Current certification as in International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
