Minimum 15 years multifaceted post-qualification experience. The post requires an all-round in-depth working knowledge in Sales & Marketing.
Out of the total 15 years’ experience a minimum of recent 3 years’ experience at same position of a medium size company is a pre-requisite for the position.
Principal Accountability :
Formulate National Sales Plans aligned with Marketing Plan and national sales plan
Develop plan to make all sku available at all existing and potential outlets
Develop plan to make all categories visible at all existing and potential outlets
Develop annual sales forecast and its monthly breakups
Develop trade offer plan annually and monthly.
Manage Sales Team effectively to achieve Sales Objectives, Targets / Volume & Value and optimize the deployed human resources by engaging the best talent, providing the required training, motivating and rewarding the team’s performance justly
Achieve cost efficiency through monitoring monthly expense of Sales team
Identify new coverage areas for expansion wherever possible and economically feasible
Manage and minimize Sales returns and trade offer
Guide, help and motivate sales team to play their optimal role
Implement Organization’s Sales Policies, monitor Company’s Market Share and evaluate the performance of Institutional Customers, intervening proactively wherever improvements are required
Ensure good working relationships are maintained within the sales team and institutional customers
Coordinate with head office to solve problems of sales force and Institutional Customers
Optimize trading terms and rationalize the trade offers
Ensure timely recoveries from credit customers and minimize overdue amounts
Conduct regular cyclical meeting with sales team to discuss sales activities
Keep close eye on the competitor and initiate counter activities
Visit the markets regularly to measure performance of sales team, to coach them and to explore new business opportunities.

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
Carry out annual TNA exercise, arrange On-Job-Training and Formal Training to meet staff’s training needs and ensure that these training needs are largely met through departmental OJT programs such as Coaching, Multi-tasking, giving Additional Responsibility, Job Rotation, Special Projects or Studies, etc.
Every year, identify employees with High Potential and those with Outstanding, Marginal and Poor performances, for preparing Succession Plan of Key Positions on Regional basis
Develop effective human resource management practices with the coordination GM Sales & Trade Marketing and HR department
Conduct performance appraisal on half yearly and yearly basis with full professionalism
Reward and appreciate people
Create positive energy in distributors and sales team.
