Job description
Rodale Inc., is recruiting an experienced, motivated, forward-thinking marketing leader to build on a long history of direct-response success and drive profitable growth in the sales of books, dvds, consumables, and other health and wellness products. The successful candidate will have led significant direct-response organizations, with experience in direct mail, digital, and all other direct response channels. S/he will also have experience evolving similar organizations. This role will work closely with a number of related functions to drive revenue, growth, and profits through strong products, innovative programs, deep collaboration, and relentless focus on results.
The position is an opportunity to lead a key business unit to greater success at Rodale, a well-positioned, future-focused health and wellness information provider with very strong assets, people, culture, and brands.
Responsibilities:
- Lead strategy and all program development for large, existing direct marketing business
- Optimize existing direct-mail and print efforts
- Accelerate fast-growing digital channels including e-mail, web, social media, online store, and search
- Develop new channels and refine investment across existing ones
- Direct ongoing process, organizational, and cultural change within the business
- Work very closely with product group on features, positioning and price while developing new products for new customer segments
- Shape and interpret proprietary consumer research
- Own and drive key business metrics
- Built customer database and improve customer experience and satisfaction
- Orient and drive cross-functional product launch and execution teams
- Manage team of ~12 to individual goals and budgets
