Manager of Clinical Education

The individual in this position will be responsible for a team of field based nurses who play a key role in educating healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers on Baxalta’s products, programs, and services. Effective managerial skills along with effective internal and external customer interactions will be the focal point of this position. This person will:

•Build, manage, and lead a team of highly motivated and skilled nurses.

•Work closely with Sales to ensure integration of the Senior Clinical Educator Team into customer interactions and plans that deliver on Baxter’s objectives.

•Provide clinical and professional expertise to internal and external customers. Interact with healthcare professionals, patients, and advocacy organizations on Baxalta’s products as well as IG therapy issues.

•Coach and effectively lead a field based nurse team to build effective customer partnerships that deliver on business objectives.

•Develop effective working relationships with the Territory Business Managers and Regional Business Directors that fosters a collaborative, consultative relationship.

•Conduct customer needs analysis and in collaboration with the Sales Organization and develop strategies to resolve customer issues.

•Support and advise marketing, to facilitate the design, development and implementation of educational programs that drive HYQVIA conversions and support Baxalta’s product portfolio.

•Develop and maintain expertise in the area of IG treatment and patient management. A broad understanding of the PI community, including perspectives of patients, advocacy groups, payers and healthcare professionals will be necessary.

•Ensure the team effectively tracks and communicates all account activity to the appropriate people (sales and marketing) using the designated communication tools (BIO 360). Gather and communicate marketing intelligence information in a timely manner.

•Demonstrate compliance with internal procedures, processes and Baxalta’s cultural values

Qualifications 

Job requirements

•Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in nursing with at least 3-5 years of experience in the field of IG nursing/infusion

•Mix of IV and SC experience

•Mix of Home Infusion and Infusion Center experience

•A broad understanding the IG community, including perspectives of patients, advocacy groups, payers and HCPs.

•Demonstrated ability to coach, lead, and manage a team of field based nurses

•Demonstrated ability to develop deep, effective working rapport to foster a collaborative, consultative relationship with Healthcare professionals, especially nurses.

•Ability to develop effective working relationships with the Sales Organization

•Effective communication skills, including formal slide presentations.

•Demonstrated analytic and problem solving skills in the healthcare environment

•Previous Industry experience with managerial competencies preferred

•Ability to travel 60-70% of time
